Why? Join us for a day dedicated to fostering professional growth, discussing new discoveries, finding opportunities, and connecting with the research community! Undergraduate researchers are welcome to present their work, and research groups can come to recruit students and share openings. Attendees will learn all about the amazing work going on in the undergraduate research world at Georgia Tech. If you are a researcher, this is an incredible opportunity to showcase your work!

Our panelists will be speaking about joining a lab, research internships in industry, summer research experiences (REUs), applying for graduate/medical school, and many more opportunities. There will also be boba for attendees!

Why? Join URA's Computational Tools and Techniques in Research workshop, where attendees can learn practical computational techniques and software tools from our ambassadors to advance their research skills. We hope everyone can learn something outside their research experience and majors to improve their effectiveness in the lab. The event will occur in a round table format where people can choose from the different tutorials to match their interests.

What? Navigating Barriers to Inclusion in Research

Why? In honor of Black History Month, we are hosting an event to have important conversations about systemic and institutional barriers to being involved in undergraduate research. The event welcomes everyone in the Georgia Tech community to understand challenges and work towards a more diverse and equitable research space. We will have a panel of amazing scholars (faculty and researchers) from minoritized backgrounds to speak about how they navigate everyday challenges in research. We will also discuss what immediate steps we can take to make Tech's undergraduate research scene more just and welcoming to minoritized students- specifically, Black, Indigenous and Latine students. There will be food!

Why? At the Research Open House, the Undergraduate Research Ambassadors will present their research, along with a presentation from the CommLab. We will discuss research opportunities, writing resources and more! There will be a panel at the end for questions.

Why? This event offers a night of research where students can present their work, labs can share about their group and current openings, and attendees can explore the field of research and connect with potential positions.
